DoopL Apps Privacy Policy
1. Definitions
- Account— a registered account on the Platform.
- Usor DoopL— refers to DoopL Pty Ltd(ACN 676 797 943) trading as DoopL.
- Termsor Terms and Conditions— refer to each of the Learner and Driving Instructor terms (as applicable), available on our website.
- On-Demand Bookings— bookings made by Learners for immediate or near-immediate scheduling, subject to instructor availability.
- Platform— the DoopL mobile app and the website www.doopl.com.
2. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how DoopL collects, uses, stores, and discloses information — including personal information — provided through our Platform.
We are committed to handling all personal information safely, responsibly, and in compliance with applicable privacy laws. This Policy forms part of our Terms and Conditions, and acceptance of those Terms constitutes acknowledgment of this Policy.

3. Collection of Information – Dooplers (Learners or Drivers)
We collect personal information that Learner Drivers provide to us, including:
- Full name and date of birth
- Pickup and billing address (billing details stored securely through Stripe)
- Email address and telephone number
- Location and trip details
- Driver’s licence number and image
- Booking details and communication history
- Any other information submitted via email, enquiry form, or phone call
These details may be shared with Driving Instructors for the purpose of delivering and coordinating driving lessons.
4. Collection of Information – Driving Instructors
For Driving Instructors (or applicants), we may collect:
- Full name and date of birth
- Contact information (email, phone number)
- Billing address (stored via Stripe)
- Driver’s licence and Driving Instructor Authority details
- Working With Children Check (WWCC) number
- Vehicle registration and related details
These details may be shared with Learner Drivers for scheduling and operational purposes.
5. How We Collect Personal Information
Personal information is obtained through:
- Creating or updating an account on the Platform
- Making or managing On-Demand Bookings
- Submitting enquiries, reviews, or feedback
- Receiving results from background or conduct checks
- Submitting complaints or interacting with support
We may also receive online and offline data (e.g., browsing behaviour, demographic or interest-based data).
Payment data:We do not collect or store payment card details. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
When browsing our website or using the app, we may automatically collect technical information (e.g., IP address, device identifiers, browser/OS) to optimise service delivery and provide location-appropriate content.
6. Why We Collect Information
- Facilitate driving session bookings and coordination between Learners and Instructors.
- Verify user eligibility and instructor credentials.

7. Access and Correction

9. Data Storage and Security
Data is stored securely through DoopL’s cloud databases at www.doopl.com. Payment details are stored and managed exclusively by Stripe.

10. Payment Processing
Payments are handled by Stripe, compliant with PCI-DSS standards. DoopL does not store credit card data. Stripe retains encrypted transaction data only as long as necessary to complete transactions.
11. Third-Party Services and Links
Third-party providers only access data as required to perform their functions. However, once you leave our website or access an external site, their own privacy policies and jurisdictional laws apply. DoopL is not responsible for external privacy practices and encourages users to review third-party policies prior to engagement.
12. Marketing and Analytics
DoopL may use Google Analytics and related tools for remarketing purposes. Third-party vendors (including Google) may use cookies to serve ads based on previous interactions with our website. Users may opt out at any time via Google’s Ad Settings.
13. Google Calendar Sync (DoopL Instructors Only)
Scope
Calendar sync is available only to verified Driving Instructors who enable it voluntarily.
Data Accessed
DoopL accesses only event start and end times to detect scheduling conflicts — not titles, descriptions, attendees, or other metadata.
Data Use
Event time data is used solely to prevent double bookings. It is not used for profiling or advertising.
Storage and Deletion
Synced times are stored in accordance with DoopL’s data retention policy and removed when calendar sync is disabled.
Revoking Access
Instructors can revoke calendar access anytime through Google Account → Security → Third-Party Apps. Deletion requests may also be made via privacy@doopl.com.
14. Changes to this Policy
DoopL may amend this Policy at any time. Updates take effect immediately upon publication on our website. If the Platform is acquired or merged, user data may be transferred to the new entity in accordance with this Policy.
